Pokémon TCG Delta Reign releases Friday, November 6, 2026, and for most people the Elite Trainer Box is the best place to start. It has nine booster packs, a full-art foil Kyogre promo card, and the sleeves, Energy cards and dice you need to play. Delta Reign is the sixth main expansion in the Mega Evolution Series. It is built around Mega Rayquaza ex, adds three more Mega Evolution Pokémon ex and has over 135 cards. Five products have been announced: a Booster Display Box, two Elite Trainer Boxes, a Build & Battle Box and a Booster Bundle.

When does Delta Reign come out?
Delta Reign releases on Friday, November 6, 2026, and the Pokémon Company lists every product below for that date. The set is based on Japan's Storm Emeralda expansion and the 2026 Japanese ex Starter Sets. Build & Battle Boxes show up first at Prerelease events at local game stores, before they reach more stores after the release.
What's in a Delta Reign booster pack?
Each Delta Reign booster pack has 10 cards and one Basic Energy card. The set has over 135 cards, with more than 20 Trainer cards and more than 35 cards with special illustrations, according to the Pokémon Company. Not every card is the same rarity, so our Pokémon card rarity guide shows how to read the symbols in the corner.
What are the big cards in Delta Reign?
The star of the set is Mega Rayquaza ex, joined by three more Mega Evolution Pokémon ex: Mega Golisopod ex, Mega Golurk ex and Mega Malamar ex. A Mega Evolution ex that is Knocked Out gives your opponent 3 Prize cards, so they are powerful but risky to lose. These are the four cards, shown with the official images from Pokémon.com.

- Legendary Stadiums. These are a new kind of Stadium card that comes in pairs. Each pair shares one combined picture, and any Delta Reign pack that has one has both halves. You play the two halves together as a single Stadium. There are three pairs, six cards in all.
- Six more Pokémon ex besides the four Mega Evolution ones.
- The secret rares. The Pokémon Company counts 14 Illustration Rare Pokémon, 17 Ultra Rare Pokémon and Trainer cards, and six Special Illustration Rare Pokémon and Supporter cards.
- The top-rarity Mega Rayquaza ex. The English preview list ends with a second Mega Rayquaza ex at number 141. In Japan's Storm Emeralda, the matching card is a gold Mega Hyper Rare, so it is likely to be the card most people chase here too. The official English list isn't out yet, so treat that as an expectation, not a promise.

Every Delta Reign product
These are the five products in the Pokémon Company's Delta Reign product showcase. All are listed for November 6, 2026. Some stores list extra items, such as blister packs, that the showcase doesn't include yet, so we've left those out until they are confirmed. We're also leaving prices out because they vary by seller.

Is Delta Reign worth buying?
It depends on why you're buying.
- Collectors: yes, if you like Rayquaza or the Mega Evolution ex Pokémon. The set has 14 Illustration Rares, 17 Ultra Rares, six Special Illustration Rares and a top-rarity Mega Rayquaza ex. Chase cards are hard to pull. A Booster Display Box gives you more chances than a few packs, but no box guarantees a particular card.
- Players: yes. Four Mega Evolution Pokémon ex and the Legendary Stadiums are new tools for your deck. An Elite Trainer Box or Build & Battle Box gets you playing, and buying the exact cards you need as singles is usually cheaper than opening packs to find them.
- Gift buyers: yes. The Elite Trainer Box puts nine packs and a full-art promo in one box. The Build & Battle Box comes with a ready-to-play deck, so it's a good pick for someone new to the game.
- Buying sealed to hold: go slowly. Prices and availability swing a lot around a launch, and no one can promise a sealed product will go up in value. Our guide to the best time to buy sealed Pokémon products covers how prices usually move after release.
Which Delta Reign product should you buy first?
For most people, the Elite Trainer Box: nine packs, the full-art Kyogre promo, and sleeves and Energy cards you'll actually use. If you want to try the game, the Build & Battle Box gives you a 40-card deck that's ready to play. If you just want to open packs, the Booster Bundle has six, and the Booster Display Box has 36 for a big opening night. The Pokémon Center Elite Trainer Box is the one for collectors who want the extra packs and the second promo.
Last checked: November 1, 2026. The release date, card counts, pack contents and products are from the Pokémon Company on Pokemon.com's product showcase and its expansion announcement. The rarity counts, the six Pokémon ex and the Japanese set it's based on are from Bulbapedia, which cites the Pokémon Company's media alert. The official English card list isn't out yet, so card numbers and rarities can still change.
