Eight Specialty Products Make Up China's 30th Anniversary Pokémon Celebration Lineup

The Simplified Chinese Pokémon TCG 30th Anniversary Celebration set (30周年庆典) released in mainland China on September 16, 2026, the same day as the global release. But instead of the standard Elite Trainer Box other regions get, mainland China's market got eight different specialty products spread across the year: booster boxes, three “First Partner” blind-box card sets (released months apart, not all at once), a Pikachu figure blind box, two premium collector gift boxes, and a top-tier accessory box. Here's exactly what's inside each one.

Booster boxes and packs

30th Celebration Booster Box

20 booster packs per box, 6 foil cards per pack. Every card in every pack is foil. Each pack carries one of 30 different Pikachu cards, each illustrated by a different artist. The set also introduces the new Futuristic Rare (FUR) rarity with Mewtwo ex and Mew ex, plus 30 classic reprints including the Base Set Charizard.

Individual booster packs are also sold on their own for anyone who just wants a taste of the set.

Top 5 pulls from this set, ranked by market value: Mew ex (Special Illustration Rare), Gengar ex (Special Illustration Rare), Mew ex (Futuristic Rare), Mewtwo ex (Special Illustration Rare) and Pikachu ex (Special Illustration Rare).

First Partner Special Illustration Card Sets (blind box)

Three separate blind-box sets, each themed around a different trio of generations' starter Pokémon. Unlike the rest of this lineup, the three volumes released on three different dates spread across 2026, not all on Sep 16. Each set of three same-region cards is designed to tile together into one wide panoramic illustration when displayed side by side in the included magnetic frames. Every box is the same format: 1 random special-illustration foil promo (1 of 9 possible designs per volume) plus 1 acrylic magnetic card display case and 1 bonus booster pack (though that bonus pack is pulled from a different Simplified Chinese set, not the 30th Celebration set itself, so don't expect a 30th-themed pack inside).

Pikachu figure blind box

A Pokémon Shanghai product (part of their ongoing “Dream Painting” figure line) that turns 13 of the 30 Pikachu pack-illustrations into sculpted 3D figures, each paired with a display stand positioned in front of its matching card. The effect is meant to look like Pikachu stepping out of the card. Every box contains 1 random figure (1 of 13 designs), 1 foil Pikachu card matching that figure's artwork, and 1 six-card 30th Celebration booster pack. 12 of the 13 are regular pulls; the 13th is an ultra-rare hidden design at roughly a 1-in-143 pull rate.

8 of the 13 designs have been revealed so far. Here's each one:

Premium collector gift boxes

30th Anniversary Day and Night Collection Display Gift Box open, showing Espeon ex and Umbreon ex promo cards, booster packs and magnets, Simplified Chinese

Day & Night Collection Display Gift Box

Built around Espeon ex and Umbreon ex as a matched day-and-night Eeveelution pair, right down to the accessories: the Espeon promo carries a daytime celebration scene, the Umbreon promo mirrors it at night, and the two included magnets reuse the same art: the day magnet pairs Espeon with Pikachu, the night magnet pairs Umbreon with a fireworks scene.

  • 1 Espeon ex foil promo card (daytime scene)
  • 1 Umbreon ex foil promo card (nighttime scene)
  • 1 dual-card display frame
  • 1 “Day” celebration magnet and 1 “Night” celebration magnet
  • 15 six-card 30th Celebration booster packs

Espeon and Umbreon each also get their own separate 99 CNY Deluxe Deck Set (ready-to-play decks, sold apart from this gift box), and Greninja ex and Sylveon ex each get their own separate Display Sleeve Set. None of those come bundled with the gift box above.

  • 1 oversized jumbo card (roughly 13.3×18.7cm) reproducing the classic Charizard (card 137/103, Fire-type Stage 2, 120 HP) with its original Mitsuhiro Arita artwork under 30th anniversary treatment
  • 15 six-card 30th Celebration booster packs

  • 64 special-art card sleeves

Accessories sold on their own

A few pieces from the lineup above are also sold as standalone accessories for anyone who wants the display gear without a bundled box: a 30-slot coin display frame (“Coin Album”), a duo rubber playmat, a collection binder, 64-count art sleeves, a deck box, and a damage-counter box. Espeon and Umbreon each also have their own standalone Deluxe Deck Set, and Greninja ex and Sylveon ex each have their own standalone Display Sleeve Set, all sold apart from the Day & Night gift box above.
